Director of Photography and filmmaker based in Edinburgh, Scotland.


My recent cinematography work includes Up the River with Acid, a documentary about a man whose life is upended by dementia in rural France which won the Grand Prix award at Cinema du Reel in 2023. I also directed Ferroequinology, a documentary about two railroad photographers travelling across America which screened at the Slamdance Film Festival and London International Documentary Festival in 2022.

My short film work includes: Pull, Hôtel de la Comète, Not Waving, Spent, Renaissance, Life in Body, One Tw*t, Elderflower, L’Esprit de l’Escalier, Guy and Doll, Amelia's Letter, Fishcakes & Cocaine, Battlecock, Léthé, Milk, Shellshocked, Launderette, King Cone.

I studied filmmaking at the Screen Academy Scotland and then completed a PhD in cinema at the Digital Cultures Research Centre. Alongside my creative work, I teach in the film department at Edinburgh College of Art, The University of Edinburgh.
